On tinybuddha.com, I've written that the website is not mine; it's ours— it's not about me; it's about us. The same is true for this book, and not just because readers and contributors submitted tweets for inclusion. This book would not exist if not for the loving, insightful community that makes Tiny Buddha what it is. First and foremost, I thank all of you for sharing yourselves so authentically and generously.
To my big fat Italian family, including but not limited to Kevin, Marianne, Tara, Ryan, Pauline, and Jeanne, thank you for loving me when I didn't love myself. Thank you especially Mom and Dad for letting me make a seemingly endless stream of massive mistakes when they couldn't have been easy to watch. They shaped my life and this book, and I'm grateful for every one of them.
To Ehren, thank you for being my best friend, my muse, and my eternal source of support, inspiration, and wisdom. I am a better person for knowing and loving you—and for following you out of that plane. A special thanks to my California family, including Pat, Cassie, Justin, and Jim for your endless generosity and kindness.
Thank you to Connie Chan for bringing yoga into my life and being a beacon of light for so many; to Jaime Case Ford for motivating me to pursue writing professionally; to Kevin Rose for teaching me to tweet and guiding me at many points along my journey; to Cori Poletto for designing the original tinybuddha.com and being a wonderful friend; to Joshua Denney for more than two years of design work, web strategy support, and general awesomeness; to Michael of Pliable Press for expert coding for the site and the quote widget; to Soren Gordhamer for encouraging the world to use technology a little more wisely and encouraging me to step out from the shadows; to Brianne Boroughs for being a kindred spirit, inspiration, and source of feedback and support; and thank you especially to Jan, Martha, Susie, Pat, and the team at Conari Press for believing in this project and bringing the world so many resources for happiness and positive change.
Wishing you health, happiness, peace, and love, my friends.
