A popular Christmas bread from Norway.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 3 hours

Servings: 13

Ingredients:

3 1/3 cups of bread flour

½ cup of golden raisins

½ cup of softened butter, cut up

¼ cup of sugar

1/3 cup of evaporated milk

2/3 cup of candied fruit

2/3 cup of water

1 egg

2¼ teaspoons of dry active yeast

½ teaspoon of cardamom

½ teaspoon of salt

Directions:

1. Add all the ingredients except the candied fruit and raisins to your bread machine pan according to the order suggested by the manufacturer.

2. Select Sweet Bread setting and press start.

3. Add the dried fruits and pecans when the machine beeps.
