Dinner Rolls

It can also double as sandwich bread.

Preparation time: 2 hours 35 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Servings: 15

Ingredients:

3¼ cup for bread flour

1 cup of water

¼ cup of sugar

2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, softened

1 egg

3 teaspoons of bread machine or active dry yeast

1 teaspoon of salt

Butter or margarine, melted, optional

Directions:

1. Add all the ingredients, except the melted butter or margarine, to your bread machine pan according to the order suggested by the manufacturer.

2. Select Manual/Dough cycle and press start.

3. When the setting is done, remove the dough with lightly floured hands. Cover and let stand on a lightly floured surface for 10 minutes.

4. Use shortening to grease a large cookie sheet. Divide the dough into 15 portions, form each portion into a ball and place on the greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

5. Cover and let rise for 30-40 minutes in a warm place or until the balls double.

6. Put in oven and bake for 12-15 minutes at 375F or until it becomes golden brown.

7. Brush the balls with either the melted butter or margarine if desired.
