ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Jerold J. Kreisman, MD, graduated from Cornell University Medical College in New York City. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, St. Louis University. In addition to coauthoring Sometimes I Act Crazy: Living with Borderline Personality (2004), Dr. Kreisman has written articles and book chapters on a variety of subjects. I Hate You—Don’t Leave Me (1989) is considered a classic in the popular and academic literature on BPD. Dr. Kreisman maintains a private practice in St. Louis, Missouri.
Hal Straus is the author or coauthor of seven books on psychology, sports, and health topics. He has published numerous articles in national magazines, including Ladies’ Home Journal, Men’s Health, American Health, Redbook, and McCall’s. He is the director of publications at a medical specialty society and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
