B. Catling is a Royal Academician, poet, sculptor, painter, and performance artist. He is professor emeritus at the Ruskin School of Art and emeritus fellow at Linacre College, University of Oxford. The author of the Vorrh Trilogy, Catling makes installations and paints imagined portraits of cyclopes and landscapes in tempera. He has had solo shows at Serpentine Gallery, London; Arnolfini in Bristol, England; the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum in Aachen, Germany; Hordaland Kunstsenter in Bergen and Museet for Samtidskunst in Oslo, Norway; Project Gallery in Leipzig, Germany; and Modern Art Oxford. Additionally, he is the creator of six large-scale installations/durational performances for Matt’s Gallery in London.
