Arunculea

Arunculea is my name,

A name that’s not unknown to fame,

I lumber round a circus ring,

I lumber round and round the thing …

I put my two front feet on little boxes,

I stand on little boxes

I dance on little boxes,

I lumber round and round the thing,

The thing they call a circus ring,

And yet, I’m not unknown to fame.

Arunculea is my name.

My name was famous long ago,

Upon the mountains capped with snow.

I lumber round and round the thing,

The thing they call a circus ring.

I put my two front feet on little boxes,

I stand on little boxes,

I dance on little boxes,

And yet I’m not unknown to fame.

Arunculea is my name.

My forebear carried Hannibal;

She was a famous animal!

I put my two front feet on little boxes,

I stand on little boxes,

I dance on little boxes.

Across the Alps with Hannibal …

She was a famous animal.

I lumber round and round the thing,

The thing they call a circus ring,

And yet, I’m not unknown to fame.

Arunculea is my name …
