ARTISTS OF THE GALAXY

Information on individual artists within their respective communications offices was not always easy to uncover. Many of the illustrators from the twilight of the Republic have passed on, some peaceably, some as casualties in the wars they were embellishing. The rise of the Empire led to a labyrinthine bureaucracy where records of government employees could be plunged into unfathomable depths should such members be declared treasonous. On the opposite side of the conflict, the Rebel Alliance took pains to protect the identities of its agents, which compounds the difficulty of piecing together their biographies.

Like the soldiers they often supported, these artists did not seek fame. Whenever possible, their identities have been verified by every contact at this author’s disposal.
