Cream ribbed cowl

The cowl is worked entirely in the round, so there are no seams to spoil the surface of the rib pattern. Make the cowl in neutrals to go with all your outerwear, or pick a blending shade to match your favorite coat.

TIPS

Work your gauge swatch by knitting to and fro in the usual way.

Working in the round makes knitting look neater, so your row gauge may be slightly tighter than when working flat pieces.

Check carefully to make sure that the stitches are not twisted on the needle at the end of the first round. It can be easier to see the stitches on the needle if, after casting on, you turn and work the first round as a row, then join and continue in rounds.

Store your work wrapped in a piece of white cotton cloth to keep it clean.
