Fizz wrap

VARIATION

Trimming a handbag with a narrow strip of this yarn, knitted as above, will create a matching accessory for the wrap.

TIPS

The fabric is so flexible that the size of the wrap will change when it’s held up or worn, so don’t worry about the precise length. Just knit until almost all of the 9 balls of yarn have been used, then bind off.

Inevitably, some of the yarn’s tags and tassels will get snarled as you knit. Don’t stop and pick them out— wait until you’re working the next row; then use the tip of the right needle to flick out the trapped tag before knitting the next stitch. A good shake when you’ve finished the wrap will also release trapped ends.

For a special effect, decorate your wrap with beads and sequins, sewn to the ends with matching thread.
