Chapter 38

BIANCA WATCHED AS HER first group of zombies returned to the cabin.  Now that her power was stronger, she sent out their zombies into the night to steal and cause trouble for some of their enemies.  When the cops heard the victims’ complaints, they just looked at them like they were crazy.  Who would believe that a zombie robbed them?  Plus, these zombies weren’t like those in the movies.  She instructed them as to what they were supposed to do and they didn’t just wander around looking for brains to eat.  She was careful to feed them only animals and those that the Mafia Prince needed to dispose of.

The zombies made the perfect slaves.  During the day, they worked in the fields or sweat shops preparing merchandise that the Family sold.  At night, they pillaged where they were sent.  Bianca was careful where she sent them as to not alarm anyone who stumbled upon her creations.

Regarding the captured girls, she had no problems with what her Boss did with the girls technically, but she had seen what evil lurked behind some of these men’s eyes.  With the money the men paid it would do no good to have a woman unwilling to submit to their wishes.  She cast a spell on the women that enabled them to endure the pain that was forced on them by their owner.

Now that her power was strengthening, she could perform the more difficult voodoo spells.  The one spell she found most helpful was the transposing spell.  She was able to move back and forth between various places without ever worrying about time.  At first when she would perform the spell, it weakened her significantly, but now she could move at ease several times during the day with no side effects.  She wondered if her Mafia Prince knew just how strong she was becoming.  He warned those around him not to cross him, but she was the one they should be worried about and the stronger she became the more they should worry.

As much as she loved her Mafia Prince, she would never give up this power!  She doubted anyone could compete with her now.  She was almost invincible.  Her grand-mere wanted her to become powerful in voodoo; she was getting her wish.  Although this was not the kind of magic she wanted her to practice.  Her grand-mere had strictly warned her against the practice of black magic.  Perhaps that was what drew Bianca to it.  Bianca had never liked being told she couldn’t do something.

Bianca also felt that her lover was cheating on her.  If that were the case, he would rue the day he’d deceived her.  She would put a curse on him that he would never forget.
