NOW THAT DOMINIC’S plans were falling into place all he had to do was end his relationship with Bianca. It had been great, but now that he was with Teresa he must play his cards carefully. He had not yet told Teresa about Bianca and vice versa.
As he lay in bed, he watched as Bianca stretched languidly. He may be a cad after all since he decided to have one more fling with her before ending it. He had not yet given Teresa a taste of what he truly desired for fear of putting a halt to his plans. So far, Teresa had played right into his hands and fallen for everything hook line and sinker. Until they were married, though, he would have to watch what he did. He needed to wait a few more days before reporting his wife missing. It had been perfect when she found out his dirty little secret; Bianca was more than willing to rid him of his wife. However, Bianca felt that she would be his next wife, and he needed to rectify that quickly. He would find out from Brian where Alexis’s body was located and frame Bianca for her murder. That would rid him of Bianca. She would look like a scorned lover who eliminated the competition. When Teresa married Alfonso, the two families combined to become a force to be reckoned with. With Alfonso no longer in the picture, he and Teresa would rule the three families with no one to stop them. Frankie Scarcelli met his demise right after his son met his. Everything was planned perfectly.
He turned over and looked at Bianca, “We need to talk.”
Bianca looked at him with concern in her eyes, “Mais, what do we need to talk about. With your wife gone, you are free to see me now.”
He kissed her on the lips before replying, “I have had a change in plans. I am seeing Teresa Scarcelli. We are going to combine the Families.”
Bianca jumped out of the bed, anger seething from her very skin. Even angry, this woman was exquisite. There was something so alluring about the way the moonlight shimmered off of her body. She paced back and forth in the large room that he and Alexis had shared.
Mumbling more to herself than to him, she exclaimed, “I knew that I shouldn’t have fallen for you. I should have ended this a long time ago, when my powers were already strong. I should have known that you were a snake in the grass and were just using me.”
She looked at him with rage in her eyes. He knew she was waiting for a response, but nothing he said would make this any easier. She moved to the foot of the bed and glared down at him, “See even now you have nothing to say. What is your new girlfriend hoping to do? Does she want to move into here as soon as possible? Does she know that you ordered the death of your wife? Mais, I wonder if your new girlfriend knows about your appetites.”
Dominic tried to calm her, “Cher, I do care about you. It’s just that right now we need to keep things quiet. I don’t want to scare Teresa off until everything is finalized. Do you know how big this Family will be? It will combine three Families. When Teresa married Alfonso Scarcelli it merged two powerful Families, one here in America and one in Italy. With Frankie and Alfonso Scarcelli out of the way, I can merge with Teresa and we will dominate the south as well as Italy.”
She glared at him and then paced once again, “Your problem is that you want too much power. You are letting greed over take you and forgetting those who helped you get here. You can’t use me and then push me aside. You think you can get everything you want with just a wave of your hand because of who you are?”
He reminded her, “You wanted power just as much as me. I seem to recall you wanted to become the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans cher.”
Bianca didn’t like having the fact that she used him to get what she wanted thrown in her face. Maybe, they did use each other to some degree, but she cared for him. How dare he treat her like this!
