Chocolate Sauce

½ cup butter

2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate

2 cups sugar

1 cup evaporated milk

½ cup light corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

⅛ teaspoon salt

Place the butter in a medium saucepan with the chocolate. Melt over low heat. Add the sugar, evaporated milk, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 ½ minutes. Serve warm or cold. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
