Hot Pecan Spread with Lemon Pepper Crackers

You’re going to love these lemon crackers. They are great with this spread but also good on their own.

Spread

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons milk

1 (2½-ounce) jar dried beef, chopped

1 teaspoon onion flakes

¼ teaspoon black pepper

¼ cup finely chopped red bell pepper

¼ teaspoon garlic salt

½ cup sour cream

2 tablespoons butter

⅔ cup pecans, chopped

Lemon Pepper Crackers

1 (9-ounce) box Triscuit crackers

½ cup butter, melted

1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning

To make the spread: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl blend the cream cheese and milk together. Add the beef, onion flakes, black pepper, red pepper, and garlic salt. Fold in the sour cream. Spread in a shallow 8-inch baking dish. Melt the butter in a small skillet and stir in the pecans, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Pour over the beef mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with lemon pepper crackers.

To make the lemon pepper crackers: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place the crackers in a large bowl. Drizzle with the melted butter and toss with the lemon pepper seasoning. Spread the crackers on a large cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring once.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
