Banana Split Ice Cream

I like store-bought ice cream as much as the next person. But homemade ice cream is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

2 (14-ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk

1 quart heavy cream

1 quart light cream

7 large bananas, chopped

1 (8-ounce) can maraschino cherries, chopped

1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple

1½ cups pecans, chopped.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a large bowl combine the condensed milk, heavy cream, and light cream and whisk together. Add the chopped bananas, maraschino cherries, crushed pineapple, pecans, and vanilla extract. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Makes 1 gallon.
