Connemara Whiskey
Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey and
Connemara Cask Strength Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey (58.5%)
Connemara whiskey is a single-malt whiskey of Cooley Distillery, County Louth, Ireland. It is named for the remote region of Connemara.
Unlike other Irish Whiskey malted barley which is about one in Connemara Whiskey as in the Scotch whiskey peat-fire kilned. The malt takes over the Torfbrand a smoke spicy note. In addition, this whiskey – in contrast to traditional Irish whiskey – is distilled not three times, but only twice. It is made with a still that has a slimmer body and longer neck. Only malt from Irish barley is used. The sand-filtered water comes from a reservoir in the Cooley Mountains. In Germany and Austria, Connemara is distributed by Borco-Marken-Import GmbH.
