Chapter 6: On Other Exercise-Related Issues

There are many issues related with exercise that I’ve only covered partly in the previous chapters or that I haven’t covered at all before, but are important parts of the equation for creating a lifelong habit of exercise.

In this chapter, we’ll talk about how to deal with other people and their approach to exercise or their approach to you exercising. Support (or its lack thereof) can make or break your fitness plans, and it’s important to know how to deal with this problem.

Secondly, we’ll talk about managing your expectations (setting the wrong ones will discourage you from exercise), and handle the problem of self-criticism, discomfort and low self-esteem when exercising.

Lastly, we’ll cover the seasons and how they affect exercise habits (and what to do to stick to your habit despite harsh winters).
