Cindy listened to Alarina about how the Illuminati had been waiting for the day when the Alpha Mages were coming to Earth. They have been amassing ships, weapons and men for this very day. Then a magical portal appeared. It was a short man sitting behind a chair. She heard Professor Jacobs say Krump.
“Alarina, are you there?”
“Yes,” Alarina said, “what is wrong. Something is happening.”
Krump said, “We have diverted our ships to the North Pole. There is an elven ship entering Earth’s atmosphere but a Vvong battle cruiser is there to meet them. They need help.”
Alarina turned to Cindy and the Alphas, “The elf ship needs help. We think it is your friend Marlena.”
“What?” Cindy said. “We need to help them. We cannot fly to get to them in time.”
Alarina said, “We will take my ship. It's fast. Krump we will be there.”
Before General Graves could say anything, Cindy and her Alpha mages rushed out of the room following Alarina. Professor Jacobs and Della moved close behind them. Cindy knew the Professor and the Elf should have stayed on the base, but she felt they should come as well. They rushed outside, and it was night. Alarina even though she was a short woman was running very fast. Cindy sensed Alarina was using some magic.
Alarina’s ship was a large futuristic plane. It made the other New U. S. Jet fighters looked archaic and old. The bottom of the ship was opened. They rushed up the ramp. As soon as they entered, the ship flew upwards. Alarina ushered them into a long central area of the ship. Everything was electronic and holo screens.
Della said, “You have the magic races technology.”
“Yes,” Alarina, “we have been in contact with the Hive until it was destroyed.”
“Destroyed?” Della said.
Alarina said, “I don’t have time to explain. Please sit. We will go into hyper thrust soon.”
Della said, “You have hyper thrust?”
“Yes and we have more,” Alarina said, “now sit.”
They all took their seats. Cindy looked out of the portal window.
Alarina said, “Captain we’re ready.”
She spoke into a small device attached to her shirt. It looked like something she saw on Star Trek.
“Yes, Alarina,” a voice said back to her.
Suddenly, the ship lurched forward and Cindy was pushed into her seat. The view outside changed to streaks, darkness and light. She felt a little light headed. Then a bright light shot in the windows. Cindy saw a large Vvong battle ship dwarfing a smaller ship. They stood across each other.
A group of other ship similar to the ship they were speeding toward the two large ships.
Cindy said, “What can we do against that large Vvong ship?”
Alarina said, “We have something for all of you. Except, Professor Jacobs and Della must stay on board.”
Cindy said, “Show us,”
A holo screen appeared in the middle of the ship.
“We have this new tech that the Alphas can use and will help us.” Alarina said.
On the holo screen, it showed a small space craft. It was smaller than the ship that they were in. It was a short, round and outfitted with one seat with wings on the side and two short guns.
Royce said, “You want us to ride on these small scooters?”
Alarina said, “These scooters as you say is not what they look like. The ship is powered by a magic user who will pilot it. The ship is only as strong as the user.”
Before them hundreds of these small ships took flight and sped toward the enemy.
Cindy said, “Royce, we can do it. We will use this ship. We can always leave the vessel to fight with our magic.”
Alarina said, “Your magic will in tune with the ships guns. I will join you.”
Alarina rushed back down to the bottom of the ship. Cindy followed her. Once they got to the bay of the ship, Alarina directed them to the ships external doorway.
Alarina said, “Each of these doorways will lead you to a smaller spacecraft. Happy hunting.”
“How will we steer this ship?” Grace asked.
“You don’t have to worry. The ship is powered by your mind. You directed it like when you speak to each other through telepathy,” Alarina said.
Cindy said, “Ok, Alpha mages are you ready? We can do it.”
Grace said, “I will see you out there.”
Cindy walked up to the doorway. It opened automatically. She ducked and went inside. A chair and some controls were inside. Everything was dark except the holo controls. She sat in the chair and suddenly all the surrounding controls turned on.
A voice said, “We are connecting to your neural link and magical powers. Thank you. You have water elemental magic.”
In front of her was a holo screen. Then she looked outside. Hundreds of smaller Vvong vessels flew toward Marlena’s ship.
Suddenly, her small space craft detached from her port and rushed toward the enemy fighters. She was moving fast. She noticed she could see all around in a 360 degree window. It was almost like she was flying in the clouds. Looking at the holo screen before her, she saw several icons in different types of water emblems. She thought of creating a water spell and the holo screen changed into a water sphere.
Cindy focused on a Vvong enemy fighter attaching itself to Marlena’s ship. Her guns started to fire magical water blasts at the Vvong ship. It exploded in shards of guts and blood.
She said, “Aha!”
“Cindy, do you hear me?”
“Grace?” She said.
“We can speak through our cockpits by thinking of the person who I wanted to speak to,” Grace said.
Cindy said, “Royce, can you hear me?”
“Yes, loud and clear.”
Cindy looked next to her, and she saw Royce’s ship on her left and Grace’s ship next to her on the right.
“Let’s plow the field of enemy ships,” Cindy said.
They turned in unison and started to fire their guns destroying and killing the Vvong ships in front of Marlena’s vessel.
“Cindy, is that you out there?” A voice said.
“Who is this?” Cindy said.
“It is Captain Marlena. We see you on our screens.”
“Yes, I don’t have time to explain. Do you know how to destroy the large Vvong ship in front of you?”
“Yes, we have weapons but we need to break a hole in its hull.”
Royce said, “Hi, Captain Marlena, we will destroy the smaller ships. We also brought help.”
