Lazarus flew upwards into the air and landed on the ground. He morphed into himself and Mistress Elisa hissed.
She said, “Master, this is the person who disrupted our event in Long Beach.”
“Silence!” The demon said. He looked at him. “Who are you?”
“My name is Lazarus. I'm an Alpha Mage.”
The demon laughed. “The Alpha Mages are only a legend. You have magic. But you cannot defeat me.”
A bullwhip appeared in the demons hand. Lazarus was standing in between the altar and Mistress Elisa. Lazarus was trying to formulate a plan. The prone teenager was still asleep on the altar. He needed to save her. Without thinking, he shot a lightning bolt at them. He rushed toward the sleeping teenager and took her off the altar and placed her a few feet away.
The demon suddenly appear on top of him. He shot his whip at him. Lazarus created a magical barrier. The whip struck his barrier in sparks of flames and lightning. Lazarus felt an almost physical pain when the whip hit his barrier. He created a water wave. The demon was pushed backwards. Mistress Elisa and her minions were pushed off the plateau. They struck the bushes and plants.
Lazarus moved away from the teenager. He created a force field and covered the teenager. Lazarus heard the sounds of crunching and also the bull whip cracking. He dove to the side, the whip passed where he stood. Striking the ground, he slid to the side. Lazarus focused his power, he created a windstorm and shot it at the demon. It hit the creature, but it stayed on its feet.
The demon growled. “You have power but you lack the confidence. You need to be shown real power.”
The windstorm died, and the demon stuck the ground several times with his hooves. The ground rumbled, and the sky thundered. Lazarus felt powerful magic gathering. A rain of flames and lighting came from above him. Lazarus held up his hand and created a barrier.
He held on to his magical shield trying to create a strong barrier. His body felt like it was being torn in pieces. He smelled burnt ash and volcanic rock. The demon’s power was too strong. He looked around him. The flames and lightning covered all over him.
The demon said, “I know your kind Alpha Mage. You have a kinship to Merlin, our great enemy. You’re not Merlin and will never be. Your nothing.”
Lazarus anger crew. He was an Alpha Mage. He could destroy this demon. Shaking both of his fists into the heavens, he screamed a primordial scream. His magic came forward and destroyed the rain of flames and lightning.
Lazarus stood to his full height and looked at the smirking demon. Lazarus conjured magical blades which erupted from both of his hands. Running toward the demon, he slashed at the whip and broke it in two. The demon yelled and came after him with his talons moving in a downward arc.
Lazarus moved toward the side and swiped at the beast cutting into its chest; the demon cursed. The demon’s tail whipped around and struck him on his back, burning and scorching his back. Lazarus yelled in pain. They moved a few feet away from each other. He was panting. His blood boiled, and he didn't feel the cuts to his body. The demon flew upwards to the sky with the flapped of its reptilian wings.
Lazarus flew at the creature. He struck at it with his sabers. The creature blocked it with his magical barrier. Sparks flew where his sabers struck. The demon laughed and stuck out with its talons. Lazarus blocked it. The creatures tail came at him from behind. It was fast, but Lazarus expected this attack and he quickly swiped at the tail cutting it away.
The demon snarled, “You will pay for that.”
“Try and get me, you ugly beast,” Lazarus said.
They were floating about the forest. The demon was staring at him with a large snarl in its mouth. Suddenly, a wicked lightning shot from the sky and hit Lazarus. He didn't have time to bring up a barrier, but he used his saber to block it. But this time he let the magic encase him. His magic grew within him.
“Is that the best you can do?” Lazarus said to the hideous demon.
The beast scowled and yelled. A large flame ball the size of a small car rushed toward Lazarus. He let the spell hit him on the chest, but the flame ball didn't burn him but merge with his own magic.
The demon looked at him with confusion. The creature didn't know Lazarus could gain power from his magic. He only used this power on Middle Earth. He thought it could only worked with the magic that was not strong enough to destroy him.
Lazarus gathered his powers. He used the magic of the universe, the cosmos element.
The demon said, “No, you cannot have that power. You cannot be an Alpha Mage. I never met a wizard as strong as myself except Merlin.”
“What is your name?” Lazarus said.
“You will never find out.”
The demon whirled and flew away. A portal appeared, and the demon was about to enter it. Lazarus created a barrier over the portal. The demon roared and stopped.
“You’re a coward. Come and face me,” Lazarus said.
The demon sneered at him and came at him with his talons stretched out. Lazarus was ready for him. He focused all this power and created an air bubble inside the demon. The demon exploded in an eruption of guts and innards. Lazarus smiled.
Everything around him started to change and melt. He had passed the trial.
