Burnishing
Apply layers of color with firm pressure to achieve an opaque, shiny look
Layering
With light to medium pressure, lay one color atop another.
Crosshatching
Apply one color with parallel strokes, then add other colors similarly but at different angles.
Crosshatched Colored Pencil
The white of the paper is surrounded by blues in a crosshatched effect combined with a group of free gestural curves. The orange acts as visual punctuation.
