Heritage Holidays

Jersey War Tours (www.jerseybunkertours.com) offer evening tours of the island’s WW2 bunkers, including sites not otherwise open to the public.

Walking Tours

With Macs Adventure (www.macsadventure.com), you can go round the entire island on foot in a week (April to October). B&B accommodation and door-to-door luggage transfers are included. They also offer a ‘Channel Islands in Comfort’ tour, which combines walking and cultural sites, while island-hopping between Jersey, Guernsey and Sark.

Surfing

Young surfers can join non-residential summer camps with Jersey Quicksilver Surf School (www.jerseysurfschool.co.uk). Five-day activity courses for kids aged 7 and above (participants are required to be able to swim a minimum of 50m unassisted), including at least 2 hours of surfing instruction per day along with other activities.

Bush Camps, outdoor adventure and foraging

Discover wild edible plants, cook on a beach fire and learn natural navigating skills, on overnight or 6-day survival courses, with Kazz at Wild Adventures (https://wildadventuresjersey.com). The Valley Adventure Centre (www.valleyadventure.je) runs all-year activity clubs for 7-14 year-olds, which include aerial trekking, zip wires, and spring and summer water sports. Jersey Kayak Adventures (https://jerseykayakadventures.co.uk) offer tours and kayaking courses.

Conservation

Give something back to the environment with practical conservation work, via the National Trust’s volunteer scheme (www.nationaltrust.je). You can also join a volunteering program at Jersey Zoo (www.durrell.org).

Arts

Follow the St Helier Art Trail which brings together some of the island’s best street art. Jersey Arts Centre (www.artscentre.je) runs non-residential art courses and workshops for both children and adults.
