CHAPTER SEVEN

Hawk

It was Wednesday and he was struggling.

He fucking never struggled to concentrate. It was the fucking little bird, he could not get her snapping dark eyes out of his head and every time he shut his eyes she was right there in front of his eyelids. He was going to have to do something about it.

She was nothing like the women he usually fucked. She was short and dark, where all his women had always been tall and blonde. Even his ex-wife Candy was a tall blonde. He liked them tall and blonde with big tits and juicy asses, now it seemed his taste was changing.

It was time to take a look at where the little bird worked and who she hung out with. The decision made, Hawk grabbed his keys and wallet and locked his office door behind him.

As he strode into the common room his eyes met those of Kid and Sin who were sitting at the bar, a beer in front of each. All it took was a slight chin lift and they were following him outside.

“Are we going into the office, Prez?” Sin asked as they walked to their bikes.

“Not right now. I want to check on something.”

Hawk led the way out of the compound and with his friends on either side of him rode towards the highway. It would take a good twenty to thirty minutes to get to the tattoo shop in Melville where the little bird worked. Minutes he could use to change his mind. But he knew he wouldn’t.

He had to fucking see her, even if it was only from a distance.

Pulling into the undercover parking garage of the small shopping centre Hawk parked near the entrance, then sat on his bike and removed his helmet, ready for the questions he knew were coming.

“Have you lost your mind, Hawk? What the fuck are we doing here?” Sin snarled.

His road captain hated shopping centres and malls. Hated them so much that he refused to take part in charity runs that started and ended at a mall. And there were many that used the huge parking lots as a gathering point. He always joined them on the road and left before the run ended. According to him a mall sucked the life out of you with its fake air and light. And he wasn’t really wrong.

“I want to put eyes on the little bird, see her in her work place.”

Sin’s eyes went big. “She works in a fucking shopping centre?”

Hawk grinned. “No brother, her shop is across the road. I parked here so we won’t be seen. I don’t need the Warriors knowing I’m checking on her. We’ll go upstairs, there’s a small restaurant on the second floor with an open deck overlooking the shop. We’ll sit at a table where we can see them but they can’t see us or know we’re watching.”

“Why are we doing this, Prez?”

Hawk could see the smile in Kid’s eyes.

“I just told you. I want to watch her shop, get a feel for her.”

Both Sin and Kid laughed.

“Yeah, Boss, we know exactly what kind of feel you want to get.” Sin grinned.

“Fuck off.”

But he didn’t put any force behind the words because they were right. He wanted the little bird, badly. Bad enough to fucking stalk her.

Relaxing in the sun with a beer in his hand Hawk kept his eyes on the tattoo shop across the road. It was busy, very busy. According to the information Ziggy had given him regarding the shop, DC wasn’t the only Warrior woman working there. Tiny’s daughter and Shaka’s old lady worked there as well. And the Warriors had eyes in the shop. A prospect sat in the reception area, his back to the wall, eyes to the door and the customers.

He was glad to see that the Warriors had taken steps to protect their women.

The rumble of approaching bikes had the three of them moving back into the shadow of the awing over the open deck. Three Road Warriors pulled up and Hawk recognised Skelly, Raj and Rover as they got off their bikes and disappeared into the shop. Then Raj and DC were back in the front of the shop and his mouth almost dropped open when he took in the smoking hot body the little bird had hidden beneath her big leather coat. He frowned when the bastard took his shirt off and had his jeans undone and DC put her hands on him.

What the fuck?

Hawk frowned as he looked at the tattoo climbing out of the man’s pants and up the side of his torso. He knew by the way she touched him that he was her lover or had been her lover. They were both too comfortable with her hands on him for it to be anything else.

His gut jerked as he watched the small woman inspecting the tattoo on the man in front of her. Hawk stared with narrowed eyes, taking in her perfect little ass covered in faded blue jeans and her perky tits covered in a black t-shirt with the shop logo across the front. Jesus, she was hot as hell.

“That’s a fucking kickass tattoo. I wonder if she would work on a Dog.” Sin mumbled as if talking to himself.

Hawk finished his beer and shoved his chair back.

“Why don’t we go down there and find out?”

“You sure, Prez? Those Warriors are not going to like us walking into that shop. It looks like it’s under their protection even though it’s not in their territory.” Kid said while staring down at the shop.

“We get on our bikes, ride a few blocks, then come back and park out front. It’s neutral territory plus they are our allies, so no problems.” Hawk grinned evilly.

Fifteen minutes later they pulled up and parked in front of the shop. Hawk smiled as he caught the narrowed eyes of the little bird. She was pissed. Good. He liked her pissed off.

Walking through the door he kept going until he stopped right in front of the angry little bird.

“Hey, little bird.” Hawk smiled down at her.

“Hi, what can I do for you?” The angry little bird snapped.

“My man Sin over here wants a tattoo. He’s been dragging us all over the city looking for the best. And according to what we’ve been able to find out your shop is rated in the top three.”

She nodded but was still frowning. Hawk stepped away and waved Sin forward. He watched with his arms crossed over his chest as they started discussing what Sin wanted and he saw the minute the little bird became interested.

Sin grinned at Hawk as he and DC made arrangements to work on the design. Hawk’s eyes never left her face while she talked to Sin. Her eyes were flashing with life. His cock stirred and he had to shift his legs further apart to accommodate his semi hard on.

He felt it in the air when Skelly moved in next to him.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Skelly demanded softly.

Hawk shrugged. “Getting my man a tattoo that won’t look like he got it in prison.”

“You have tattoo shops in your territory with good artists. Why come here?”

“Because she’s the best.”

Skelly snorted in disbelief.

“Thanks, DC. I appreciate you doing this for me.” Sin tipped his chin with a small grin.

DC grinned. “You will be my first Dog, so it’s all good.”

“And he won’t be your last.” Hawk promised softly with a wink and a smile as they left the shop and got onto their bikes.

Kid and Sin were laughing as they rode away leaving a very pissed off little bird behind.

DC

My eyes almost popped out of my head when the three bikes pulled up in front of the shop. I watched as Hawk got off his bike, pulled off his glasses and helmet and walked into my shop.

What the hell was he doing here?

I held my breath when he walked right up to me, stopping almost right on top of me. My temper stirred.

He smiled and made hidden parts tingle. My stupid body was happy, so very happy to see and hear him but my brain ruled. Temper to the rescue.

“Hey, little bird.”

“Hi, what can I do for you?” I asked angrily.

“My man Sin over here wants a tattoo. He’s been dragging us all over the city looking for the best. And according to what we’ve been able to find out your shop is rated in the top three.”

I looked at the man called Sin and he looked back at me. No expression. I ignored Hawk and concentrated on Sin. Asking him questions and listening to his idea. He wanted a running dog on his abdomen and he wanted the dog to wear armour. Plates protecting its head, throat, sides and chest, but you had to be able to see that it was a flesh and blood dog, not a metal dog. I was excited and agreed to send him designs and we would go from there.

Right throughout the consultation with Sin I felt his eyes on me and my heart raced uncontrollably. I let out a relieved breath when they left the shop but I was totally unnerved by Hawk’s parting remark.

I was in so much shit.

I just had to get through Friday and then it would be done. Doc and Skelly would get me out of the mess I had created.

I hope.
