Poverty and plight
Men with no might
No future in sight
All’s just not right.
Buying food hurts them
School fees pains them
Medicines suck them
Children’s hustle wrecks them.
Their helplessness smirks in pain
Their vulnerability cries in vain
Their liabilities shine in shame
Their weakness stings in ridicule.
Their children cry for toys
Their women whimper for love
Their parents whine for care
Their blood bleeds for little.
It pains me to see this.
I don’t know how I am
Going to do this, but
I promise you this:
I will improve this
I will transform this.
