The deep blue sea
Eternal and awe-inspiring
For some, an expanse of delight
For others, a source of danger and fright.
As I board this multi-million beauty
I am enamoured, fascinated deeply
It is a city on waters yonder
And I, its king, to matters ponder.
There is a lot of gaiety cool
As jazz plays by the pool
People’s spirits soaring and free
As they explore its entirety.
As night falls and darkness grows
Sounds fade and lights dim
We sail by stars shining bright
And gaze upon the waves on high.
I can now hear the sound of the sea
As it talks to the moon, thundering
I look out, near, far, and beyond
Only water and water, deep and still.
