During Operation Babylift, Hugh Hefner, the founder and publisher of Playboy, lent his private jet and his “bunnies” to facilitate the transport of orphan children from the centre for processing adoption requests in California to adoptive parents in Madison, New York City, Chicago, and beyond. The bunnies knew how to cajole the babies with the same charm they deployed to weaken men’s knees.
