Garlic Toasted Triangles

Hands-On Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Serves 12

3/4 cup butter, softened

3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

12 (1") slices crusty French bread

1. Preheat the broiler on high heat. Spray a broiling rack with nonstick cooking spray.

2. In a small bowl, beat together the softened butter, garlic powder, salt, pepper, basil, lemon juice, and balsamic vinegar.

3. Spread the garlic butter over one side of the bread slices (about 11/2 tablespoons per bread slice). Store any leftover garlic butter in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

4. Lay the bread slices on the rack, butter side up. Broil the toast about 1 minute, watching carefully, until the butter has melted and the bread is toasted. Cut each bread slice diagonally into quarters.
