1 cup water
1 pound wax beans, stems trimmed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon minced chives
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. Place water and a steamer basket in a medium saucepan set over high heat. Place beans in basket and steam for 3–8 minutes or until tender.
2. Transfer beans to a serving dish, drizzle with oil, and sprinkle with chives and salt.
3. Serve hot or at room temperature.
