Homemade Lemonade

6 large lemons

13/4 cups brown sugar

8 cups boiling water, divided

1. Scrub the lemons and halve them. Squeeze the juice and pulp into a large bowl or pitcher. Add the sugar and pour 4 cups of water over it. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

2. Add the lemon halves and the rest of the water. Stir well, then cover and allow to cool. Serve over ice.
