Cucumber and Cream Cheese Tea Sandwiches

1 small cucumber (approximately 4"), peeled and thinly sliced

1 teaspoon salt

8 slices white bread, crusts removed

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1. Arrange cucumbers in a single layer on a large plate or cutting board and sprinkle with salt.

2. On a work surface, lay out 4 slices of bread. Spread each with a thin layer of cream cheese. Add a couple layers of cucumber slices. Spread the remaining 4 slices of bread with a thin layer of the remaining cream cheese. Place bread on top of cucumbers.

3. Using a sharp knife, cut each sandwich into 4 equal pieces.
