Spicy Cheese Dip

2 pounds pasteurized processed cheese food, cut into cubes

8 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes

1 (4-ounce) can chopped mild green chili peppers

1 (1.25-ounce) envelope taco seasoning mix

1 (16-ounce) jar chunky salsa or canned Mexican-style diced tomatoes

1. Combine all ingredients in a 3- to 5-quart slow cooker.

2. Cover and cook on low setting, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted and mixture is hot, about 25 minutes.

3. Serve warm from the slow cooker or a chafing dish. Stir occasionally to keep smooth.
