Discover how pumpkin pie can taste fresh and delicious by trying this unusual recipe. Using pumpkin puree, spices, and Bisquick, there will be no sogginess, and no store-bought artificial flavor. By slow cooking, you can also set off a heavenly scent of a hard day's baking, but with little effort.
INGREDIENTS:
1 15-ounce can pumpkin puree
9 ounces evaporated milk
¾ cup brown sugar
3 ounces maple extract
2/3 cup Bisquick
2 beaten eggs
3 TBSP butter
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
INSTRUCTIONS:
Using a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin, milk, maple extract, brown sugar and 1/3 cup of Bisquick. Mix well and pour into the crock pot. Cut the butter into pats and place on top of the mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining Bisquick.
Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or until the mixture has thickened and is golden brown.
Scoop out and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
