Tips

Money is counted in Yen. There are bills for ¥1,000 (senen satsu), ¥5,000 (go-sen-en satsu) and ¥10,000 (ichi-man-en satsu). There is a ¥1 coin (ichi-endama), a perforated ¥5 brass coin (go-en-dama), a solid ¥10 copper coin (jū -en-dama), a ¥50 coin (gojū -endama), a ¥100 coin (hyaku-en-dama) and a ¥500 coin (go-hyaku-en-dama).
