This deeply flavorful dish originates in Hawaii, where the tuna is so fresh that there’s really no use in cooking it. If you’re concerned about eating raw tuna, may we remind you of something? Sushi. You’ll just wish you had more as soon as you are done eating this serving.
Combine the ingredients. In a bowl, whisk together the red onion, tamari, scallions, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Pour this over the chopped tuna and mix to combine. Let the tuna sit for 30 minutes to marinate.
Serve. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the top of the tuna and serve.
