Special Stitches
MB (make bobble): Make an e-wrap knit stitch by making an e-wrap and lifting the bottom loop over the top wrap (you may wish to keep this stitch on a cable needle for easier lifting later). Make 4 more e-wrap knit stitches on the same peg. Reach down below the peg and pick up the first e-wrap knit stitch and lift it onto the peg. E-wrap knit all stitches on peg together as one.
LTW (left twist): Place the stitch from peg 1 on a stitch holder. Pick up the stitch on peg 2 with your knitting tool and put it on peg 1. Transfer the stitch on the holder to peg 2. Knit pegs 1 and 2 as indicated in the pattern.
•Mitt is knit flat and then seamed closed, leaving an opening for the thumb.
•When asked to CO1, use the true cable cast-on method as described on page 110.
•For photo-illustrated instructions on making a bobble and left twist (LTW), see pages 119–20 and 116.
