I’m so happy and honored that you chose to read On the Ropes. My sincere prayer is that the story of my fictional Mara and Victor the real stories that inspired me to write this single novella deeply blessed you.

According to the UN, international organized criminal organizations dealing in human trafficking enjoy an estimated annual profit of more than seven billion US dollars. The Russian mafia, in particular, have a protected connection to the industry of trafficking in humans. I pray that this novella shined even a glimmer of light on this very real darkness.

This was a difficult subject to write about, and I am equally sure parts of the novella were difficult to read. But my heart knows that these difficulties are very small compared to the difficulties faced by the real-life victims.
