Love
Rules

I have this necklace that spells out L-O-V-E. It’s six inches wide across my chest, and you can spot it from across the room. I wear it often, especially in settings where I don’t know a soul. I started noticing that when people see my necklace, their eyes light up, their shoulders ease up, and the corners of their mouth turn up. My LOVE necklace is so audacious that it breaks the ice. Because it’s kind of funny and kind of true. I imagine it is because love is always on our minds, but we don’t always know when it is in our midst. I think we can all agree that when it shows up, we are just plain relieved.

Love is pretty much my story. I do not believe the company I helped build would have made such an impact if all the people who touched the brand didn’t know how to love, and not just other people but experiences, concepts, and ideas. We didn’t believe love needed to be reserved for special occasions or special people. You can love the color blue and not dilute the nature of love. Love, when used liberally, hits home. It’s true I brought my emotions to work, and sometimes my passion was over the top, too much, sometimes so real it was raw. I don’t regret having those feelings. Emotions drive connection.

We all have the capacity to love. We need it to survive, and one thing I know for sure is that we all just want to be loved.

Use your heart. Believe in love.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
