The final part of the walk takes you along Reguliersgracht – one of the city’s most famous canals. Before you begin, pause where the canal crosses Herengracht to see 15 bridges in total, including the one that you’re standing on. Continue past the buildings shown below and then cross Keizersgracht. You’ll pass Nos. 57, 59 and 63 Reguliersgracht, which have ornate stone, brick and woodwork façades.
Turn left by the church and take the left bank of Prinsengracht. You should be ready for a break. Stop for lunch at NeL in Amstelkerk or a refreshing beverage at Café Marcella, at No. 1047a Prinsengracht, which is a typical local bar with outside seating in the summer. Refreshed, follow the Prinsengracht to the Amstel river.
