Quick and Easy Egyptian Chicken Broth

Ingredients:
- Whole chicken - 1
- Clarified butter - 2 tablespoons
- Whole cloves - 4
- Bay leaf - 1
- Salt and ground black pepperĀ
- Onion (trimmed) - 1
- Cardamom pods - 4
- Water - 1 quart
Directions:
- Coat the chicken with pepper and salt.
- Mix the chicken, butter, and giblets in a pot. Stir in the onion, bay leaf, cloves, and cardamom. Simmer until the moisture evaporates. Cook the chicken until golden for 5 minutes.
- Pour water into the chicken. Simmer for 20 minutes.
