Tomatoes
I’ve always loved tomatoes. Sliced, sauced, etc. . . . I wasn’t picky, I just liked them. But my first trip to Italy ruined me for every tomato that would come after. Jack and I spent time on the island of Capri, where the tomatoes are the sweetest and most flavorful I’ve ever had. Back home, I still appreciate a good just-picked tomato, but only in the summer.
TIP:
Avoid storing tomatoes in the fridge; they’ll lose all their flavor. Keep them on your countertop instead. They’re also pretty to look at!
