WILLYCE KIM is the author of three poetry books, Curtains of Light, Eating Artichokes, and Under the Rolling Sky, and two novels, Dancer Dawkins and the California Kid and Dead Heat. Her work has also appeared in journals including The Furies, Phoenix Rising, Conditions, Sinister Wisdom, Harrington Lesbian Fiction Quarterly, Ikon, and Amazon Poetry. Kim was an early member of the Women’s Press Collective in Oakland, California, an organization that printed and distributed self-published books by lesbians. At the Women’s Press Collective, Kim published her poetry, took photographs, and traveled the United States doing readings and distributing books in colleges, bookstores, and women’s bars.
