1.

Cally looked at herself in the mirror. The blurred version of her features were all swimming together and it was making her head spin even more. She ran the tap and scooped some water up into her palm and splashed it onto her face. It wasn’t the sobering effect she had hoped for, but at least it was a start.

“No more cocktails,” she told herself sternly as she started to giggle and she heard the sound of her friend, Erica, laughing along with her from inside the bathroom stall.

“It must be bad if you’re talking to yourself,” Erica giggled.

Cally squinted into the mirror and wiped away the black smudges of eyeliner and mascara that had weaved their way down her cheeks and grinned. She really was a lightweight, but it didn’t matter. A night like this was exactly what she needed after the time she had had of late. But she wouldn’t think about that... Not whilst she was out enjoying herself and having a good time.

She pulled a lipstick from her purse and touched up her ruby red lips before she smacked them together and pouted back at her own reflection. Even though she was tipsy, she decided that she still looked smoking hot. Her waist was nipped in tight by her belt and made it seem itty bitty, and her curves undulated out on either side, making her already large breasts seem even bigger. She had never been the kind of girl to appreciate her own appearance, but in that moment, she knew that she had power. Her white-blonde hair curled down over her shoulders effortlessly and she swept it back and smiled. Her skin was so clear and white, she was like an old Hollywood star, and it was apparent that she was not the only person to notice in the bar. She had felt the wandering eyes of many men as soon as they had walked in and taken up their perch right by the counter.

“Looking good, Cal,” Erica smiled as she slipped up next to her and stared at her own reflection and began to scrutinize herself. For someone so skinny and toned, Erica always had hang-ups on how she thought she appeared to members of the opposite sex. Cally furrowed her brow a little too obviously; she really didn’t know where Erica found the energy to be bothered.

“I think I need a water,” Cally said as she closed her purse and slipped it over her shoulder.

Erica nodded in agreement and the girls linked arms as they turned and began to trot on their heels out of the bathroom and back toward the bar.

Since they had been gone, the place had already gained a lot of new faces and the throng of bodies around them seemed to heave with testosterone. Cally tried to keep her head down, determined not to catch anyone’s eye in such close proximity, but it became impossible not to look up and keep her attention fixed firmly on where she was going. She felt Erica’s hand slip into hers and she squeezed it tightly. In such a short space of time, the bar had gone from being relatively empty to jam packed full of suave men in suits, and similar women who looked like they were more than eager to bag one of them.

When they reached the bar, Cally breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at Erica.

“Okay, a water...” she said. “And also another Cosmo because after that, I think I need one!”

Erica threw her head back and laughed before she leaned right over and motioned to one of the bar men. Cally watched how she used her sexuality with ease and was jealous for a moment. Girl’s like Erica always seem to ooze confidence, and even though Cally knew she was looking good, there was still a small part of her that wanted to shrink away and hide.

But maybe that was down to Gabe...

No, she told herself sternly. Don’t think about him

But it was too late. Once his name had worked its way into her consciousness, there was no shutting him out. Cally felt the nausea rise up inside of her. God, she had loved him. And he had screwed her over good. She felt the tears pricking the corners of her eyes and she shook her head ferociously, desperately trying to shake him away.

“Hey,” Erica said as she gripped Cally’s arm. “Are you okay? What’s the matter?”

Cally bit her bottom lip and debated telling her the truth. That, even after six months, she still couldn’t shake the ex who broke her heart and left her for another girl. But Cally knew that Erica would do nothing but berate her and make her feel worse. She knew more than anyone that it was high time she was moving on, and Erica wouldn’t be afraid to tell her exactly that.

“Cal?” Erica said as she squeezed her arm again, her eyes boring into her.

Cally felt her face flush red and she smiled meekly and shook her head. “Nothing,” she whispered. “Honestly, I’m fine.”

She raised a smile and breathed out deeply. She didn’t want to ruin their night, they were having such a good time, and she had to admit that it was starting to feel like she was dragging up old ghosts every time he wandered into her mind.

Time to lay the dead to rest, she thought as Erica slipped a cosmopolitan into her hand. Time to get back on the horse... or whatever that saying is...

She took a sip of her drink and found that she was laughing to herself. She didn’t need him and she certainly didn’t need to be mourning him on a night out with her best friend.

She turned around and looked behind her. The bar was modern and sleek, and all of the men and women that were patronizing it looked the same. The men were obviously fresh out of work, straight from the never ending streets of law firms and big blue chip companies that made up this part of the city. And the women looked groomed but eager, as if they were either after an easy lay and an escape from their high flying careers, or they had wandered in trying to look that way just so they would blend in.

Cally looked down at her own clothes and realized how out of place they looked. She was a pop of color, all white-blonde and red lips and nails. Her large green eyes were dazzling under the lights and Erica’s red hair shone out like a beacon in the sea of bodies. It felt good to be standing out, and as she sipped her Cosmo, she felt her confidence rising once again.

“We should do this every week,” she called to Erica over the music, but her friend didn’t appear to hear her, so she tapped her foot along to the beat and found that it wasn’t long before she was twirling around and dancing in her own little world.

As she swayed along to the music, she suddenly became aware that she had an audience, and she felt his gaze on her before she saw him. So when she finally turned and they locked eyes for the first time, it was almost as if their souls had already connected and a fire had been started inside of her that she knew, instantly, was going to be impossible to put out. He was tall with dark brows, and a brooding look that cut across the crowd and held her there as if she was already his prisoner.

Everything in the room seemed to fall away and they easily could have been the only two people in the world. Cally stopped in her tracks and realized that she suddenly couldn’t move. He was smiling at her, this man. His grin was wicked and inviting. He was hot, and smoldering, and utterly unforgettable. She felt a knot tighten in her stomach and her cheeks flushed again with heat. She found herself flirting with him from across the room, unaware where her sudden burst of confidence had come from, but embracing it all the same. She undulated her hips and watch how his eyes lit up as she ran her fingertips down her curves. She felt as if she could take on the world and she loved that he was watching her so intently, it was almost as if he were in a trance.

She looked over her shoulder as she shook her booty and gave him a little grin, and then he took a step into the crowd. And even though she knew that he was coming for her, she couldn’t help but look over her other shoulder to make sure that there wasn’t another gorgeous woman standing behind her, savoring his every move.

But the only thing behind Cally was a wall. And he was getting closer with each passing second. She looked to her left and realized that Erica had moved, she was chatting another boring looking businessman up at the bar and Cally was all on her own, in the sights of one of the most handsome men she had ever seen.

She let her eyes grace over him from head to toe. He was so dark and mysterious, she felt as if he were enveloping her and she hadn’t even spoken to him. She let her eyes lock in on his and butterflies beat ferociously inside her ribcage and her palms began to sweat.

She placed her drink down and suddenly felt more sober than she ever had. His eyes had snapped her out of her stupor and she was completely enchanted. His dark eyes glistened in the half light, and with each step he took, she could feel a pull to him that was addictive. She bit her lip and tried not to grin, but when he saw her doing so, a wicked smile flickered across his lips and Cally found herself bursting into laughter, unable to hold it in any longer.

“Naughty,” was the first thing he said to her. “You’re so goddam naughty, I can smell it.”

And even though no one had ever spoken to her in such a sexual way before, she absolutely loved it. Whatever he had inside of him, it was clicking with her and she wanted to know the rest. She wanted to know it all. Every last thing.

“I could say the same to you,” she smiled cheekily as he sidled up close to her and she breathed in his delicious scent. He was well groomed but rugged, and his suit was so perfectly tailored it was as if it were straight out of the pages of Vogue Hommes. Cally looked up at him and knew, in that instant, she was going to be hooked.

“Can I buy you a drink?” he asked her smoothly as he slipped his arm around the back of her and along the bar top.

“A water,” she said. “And you can keep me company for a while...”

Her eyes trailed over to where Erica was entwined with the man she had been talking to and she watched as they grinded up against one another and he seemed to drink Erica in with each passing second.

“I’d like that,” her new acquaintance said with a smile.

“I’m Cally,” she said confidently as she held out her hand. He took it in his and shook it with a strength that made her bones shake.

The way he was looking at her was making her go weak at the knees, but she was determined to stand her ground. She wanted him to want her so much that he couldn’t stand it.

“Hugo,” he smiled.

He leaned in closer and whispered into her ear, “I’m leaving here with you tonight...”

And Cally bit her lip and felt her pussy twinge because the second she had seen him, she had thought exactly the same thing. Whoever he was, he had hooked her without even having to say a word. She had never felt a pull to anyone like it before, and she knew that he was just what she needed to finally banish Gabe from her head once and for all.

“You’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen,” he breathed into her ear as she wrapped her arm around him.

And it was as if she was under his spell. Something hot and animalistic was engulfing her and she couldn’t stay away.

Back at her apartment, as they fell back into the tangle of her bed covers Hugo slowly peeled away her clothes and kissed her in places that she had never even known existed. His hands were experts at what they knew about a woman’s body, and as he massaged her and worked her over, she melted into his arms.

When he swept her up and pulled her on top of him and looked into her eyes, she knew that there was nothing that would ever ruin this moment. Physically, he was the perfect man, and their draw to each other only confirmed that they had a mental connection as well. When he locked eyes with her, it was as if he was staring into her soul.

She gasped as she threw back her head and he entered her soaking wet pussy with his impressive manhood. With each thrust he took her to new heights of pleasure, and as she wrapped her legs around him and held onto his neck she knew that Gabe would be nothing but a distant memory.

Hugo, he was an incredible lover and as their body heat rose together and their breathing became more fevered, she felt herself on the verge of the most exquisite release of her entire life. He powered into her once more with his rock hard cock and when he exploded inside of her Cally unraveled beneath him and came in a crashing wave. He was so strong, so powerful, and so animalistic, it was almost like he was more than human. As she clung to him and he kissed her forehead she had never felt more relaxed and satisfied.

It had been the most perfect night of her life.

Hugo... He was exactly what she had been waiting for.
