BB’s Smokin’ Gun, Howlin’ Wolf

A 1947 BSA B31 frame was combined with a 1952 bottom end B33 from California. The Howlin’ Wolf, 656 cc, BSA B33-based bike is entirely a custom build. Customization included finding the parts by Emmanuel Dumigron and engineering and stroke motor work by Jake Hall.

Jake Hall, of Hall’s Custom Vintage, and his father, of City Foreign Auto Supply, brought over a large collection of their vintage motorcycles to our Asheville studio the winter of 2012. This was instrumental in helping Eli and me figure out studio lighting. The session was mutually beneficial as we supplied the Halls with complimentary photographs.

BB’s Smokin’ Gun, Howlin’ Wolf was a blessing to photograph, and it shines with Jake Hall’s true artistry. I wish I had the opportunity to photograph this bike again in my current studio.
