Brian’s 1975 Shovelhead S&S Special Paint (Rust)

This 1975 Shovelhead 1350 cc S&S with hand shift, kick only Morris Magneto fired has special work, which includes a chassis design frame that is 4 up, 2 out, and has 38-inch rake. The Shovelhead is an air-cooled 45-degree V-twin. And even though there is supposed to be a relationship with Harley-Davidson somewhere in the mix, I would say that is not the case with Brian’s bike.

One day I found myself in need of a bfook cover related to motorcycles and men. The talent agency asked for a really tough looking man on a chopper. The goal was to come up with a cover shot of a tough biker on a tough, rusty old bike. After some calls and asking around, Brian surfaced. The minute I saw the bike and Brian, I knew we had the perfect image.

Brian arrived at the studio with friends and family, and a ton of wild energy. I loved every minute of his personality and motorcycle. The bike, like all bikes that come with rust, was difficult to photograph. When you include a biker as well, the images are even more difficult. I changed the settings on the camera—to complement the rust, the colors, and the energy with the biker. On the website there is even more about this bike and that photo shoot.
