Chris’ 2009 Yamaha Venture 1300 cc

This 2009 Yamaha Royal Star 1300 cc Venture has a V4 liquid-cooled engine with a five-speed transmission and telescopic fork. It weighed in around 870 pounds dry. This bike, a top-of-the-line cruiser, is no longer in production.

When I was told my Asheville studio was going to get torn down, I started to look all over the country for a new studio. On the top of the list was the Peterson Industrial Depot near what was then known as the Miller Motorsports Park and International Racetrack.

Like everything I do, I just picked up the phone and called the Chamber of Commerce. Chris Sloan answered and decided to help out a complete nut whose claim to fame was photographing motorcycles and cars free of charge.

This bike was photographed three days after the grand opening and lays claim to being the first official bike photographed in the new Tooele, Utah, studio. Many thanks to Chris for his support.
