This is a 2007 Yamaha R6 600 cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke forward incline with 16 titanium valves. This specific bike has been spec’d for racing and is raced by Sarah.

This bike belongs to Sarah. Of the 350 bikes photographed so far, only a handful of bikes belongs to a woman and only one, this one, was a racing bike owned and raced by a woman.
The most important factor from my viewpoint is Sarah moved the bike around the studio with ease and grace. When I asked for the bike to be put into a specific position, Sarah had no trouble moving the bike and getting it into the correct placement.
Here are a few words from Sarah: “My bike is like a friend to me. I take care of it, and it takes care of me. As a female rider and racer, I compete against guys. There’s the stigma that women are cautious and slow. While I am not the fastest, I am getting faster and do well in my class against an all-male lineup.”
