FROZEN MARGARITA

No self-respecting cocktail book would be complete without the Margarita’s possibly even more popular cousin, the Frozen Margarita. Really, why casually sip a tequila drink when you can slurp it down like a slushie? If the regular Mason Jar Margarita just isn’t quite cooling you down enough, add some ice to the equation and let this frosty cold treat run wild across your taste buds.

Makes 1 serving.

Salt (for rimming)

3 parts tequila

2 parts orange liqueur

1 part lime juice

1 cup ice

1 orange slice (garnish)

1. Rim the edge of your Mason jar with salt.

2. Add the tequila, liqueur, and lime juice to a blender, with about a cup of ice. Add or subtract ice depending on how thick you like your frozen drinks.

3. Strain the frozen tequila mixture into your Mason jar and garnish with a slice of orange. Enjoy!
