LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Ah, the legendary Long Island Iced Tea. Legendary amongst even the strongest of mixed drinks. Despite the fact that there are countless Long Island Iced Tea recipes floating around, they all have one thing in common: an astonishing amount of booze. The Long Island Iced Tea is the perfect cocktail to have one of and quit while you’re ahead… but they’re so delicious you might not be able to say no to a second.

Makes 1 serving.

1 part vodka

1 part light rum

1 part gin

1 part silver tequila

1 part triple sec

1 part lemon juice

1 tsp sugar

2 parts cola

1 lemon slice (garnish)

1. Add all ingredients except for the cola into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until frothy.

2. Fill your Mason jar with the desired amount of ice and strain the mixture into it. Top with cola and garnish with a slice of lemon. Enjoy!

VARIATIONS

Most variations center around the lemon juice and cola. Some opt to use only orange juice, while others use (as the name of the cocktail might suggest) real iced tea. Some simply use less cola (just a splash!), while others use sweet and sour mix. It’s up to you to decide which of these sounds best to you, but the recipe above might be the tastiest.
