SHIRLEY TEMPLE Images

Similar to the Roy Rogers, the Shirley Temple is a simple mix of grenadine and ginger ale. Ironically, the child star despised the drink that she inspired, calling it “icky.” Despite this famous rebuke, the drink remains one of the most frequently ordered virgin cocktails in the world. Like the Roy Rogers, the Shirley Temple can be easily personalized with the addition of a little lemon or lime!

Makes 1 serving.

12 oz ginger ale

1 splash grenadine

1 dash lime juice

1 maraschino cherry (garnish)

1. Add ice to your Mason jar and pour in the ginger ale.

2. Top with a splash of grenadine syrup and a squeeze of lime juice.

3. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and enjoy!

VARIATION

Although ginger ale is widely agreed upon as the standard base for the drink, some versions call for lemonade instead.
