Turkey Burgers

1 lb. ground turkey

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 T. fresh parsley, minced (or 3 tsp. dried parsley)

2 T. fresh rosemary, minced (or 1 tsp. dried rosemary)

Salt and pepper

Butter lettuce leaves

1 tomato, thinly sliced

1 avocado, peeled, pitted, and thinly sliced

Combine the turkey, garlic, parsley, rosemary, salt, and pepper.

Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions; flatten each one into burger patties.

Add about 1 tablespoon of oil to a frying pan and cook the burgers for 5 to 6 minutes. Turn them over and cook the second side for 5 to 6 minutes or until cooked through.

Place each burger on a large lettuce leaf and top with a tomato slice and some avocado slices. Fold over lettuce to hold the burger and toppings in place to eat.

You can also eat these burgers plain or on whole wheat buns or English muffins.
