RYAN HARVEY is a US Navy veteran and a classically trained chef. He has cooked professionally in all types of settings from fine dining to healthy meal delivery services. Ryan founded Bare Bones Broth Co. in 2013 from his passion to help heal and nourish people through food. Ryan was born in Toledo, Ohio, and graduated from the San Diego Culinary Institute. He lives in Medford, Oregon, with his wife, Katherine, and their dog, Murph. When he’s not cooking, Ryan enjoys backpacking, reading, and traveling.
KATHERINE P. HARVEY is a business journalist-turned-business owner. She first started writing on a LiveJournal blog at the age of twelve and now holds awards for investigative reporting, public service journalism, news photography, and business journalism. She was so inspired by the entrepreneurs she met as a business writer that she decided to join their ranks and now owns and runs Bare Bones Broth Co. with her husband, Ryan. Katherine was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and has a BA in English from Hillsdale College.
