Start by lightly drawing the base of the telephone. It’s a rectangle, but drawn in perspective, so not all the lines are parallel.
Next, you “build” the body of the telephone onto the base, making sure the back is much higher than the front.
Now place the handset of the phone on the body, and draw the dial as an ellipse, making it as big as possible while still fitting on the front.
Don’t forget to draw in those finger holes on the dial, and the iconic spiral telephone cable… .
